Sixteen92 Empty Re: Sixteen92

Post by Pizzalicious Thu Feb 26, 2015 6:05 pm

About a month after I had purchased a shower gel from sixteen92, it had turned into the consistency of pure water. The label had also wasted away pretty badly, so I decided to contact Claire on Etsy. After a few back and forth messages, she had told me she was going to send me out a replacement ASAP as that was definitely not supposed to happen. I had then posted a PSA on IMAM about her shower gel possibly turning watery to see if it was a just a lone mishap or if it was a formulation issue. Claire immediately responded saying she was reformulating it and that I would get my replacement soon. That was around 3 months or so ago and I still never got a replacement (even though she currently has shower gels up for sale on her new site). That was the last form of communication I have received from Claire.

I have made 2 orders from Sixteen92.

My first was from the etsy shop for samples of their winter perfumes. I LOVE all the scents. So complex, so lovely, so unique. I ordered on the 31st of that month, they went out for delivery on the 16th of the next month, and they arrived the 20th. I believe their TAT was a bit longer than usual because of a sale (which I think I took advantage of!).

My next order was from their website. I ordered perfume and a few body product samples with their spring scents. I enjoy these scents as well, although I think I prefer the complexity of the fall and winter catalogs a bit more. I placed my order on the 10th of that month and their TAT at the time was 7-10 business days. Because of some apparently continued issues with USPS my order didn't get out until 17 business days after I placed my order and USPS continued to fail since it took another 8 business days for it to actually make it to my door. So a total of 25 business days to get to me. It could have been worse and Claire responded quickly to my email. I was a little confused since some people who place their orders 2+ weeks after I did received their orders over a week before I did but I think I blame USPS.

Overall, I'm happy with the brand Claire has created and the products, although I have to use the bath and body products more to see what I think. On both occasions the TAT was longer than usual but was dealt with professionally and communicated appropriately.

Sixteen92 Empty Sixteen92

Post by PrincessSnugglemuffn Fri Apr 10, 2015 2:19 pm

I've ordered from the Sixteen92 website twice now. The first order took foreve to ship, but I didn't keep exact track of the time, so I can't promise that it was longer than the 10 business day max TAT listed on the site. However, I'm 99.999% certain it took over three weeks to get to me.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I ordered again. This time, I contacted the seller after 11 days with no shipment notification. They got back to me super fast, but told me that it was only 9 days. Unless they count both Good Friday and Cesar Chavez day as non-business days, that's just not true. The shipment label was printed the next day, but the package didn't scan at the post office for several more days. From the day I ordered until delivery, it will have been 23 days. That's insane.

I understand that they're an indie company and they create and fill all orders by hand. However, not only is an 8-10 business day TAT long, but they can't even stick to that! The craziest thing to me is that they have started outsourcing sales (the Soapbox Co carries a lot of their items now, with a 2-3 day TAT), even though they can't keep up with their own website. It's time to hire some help, or at the very least start being honest about TATs so people unwilling to wait almost a month won't bother.

The real bummer is that Lolita is hands-down the best fragrance I've ever smelled in my life. I will never find something to replace it as my HG. However, I will only order from the Soapbox Co now, and I'm very resentful giving Sixteen92 my money at all. I just feel that their order filling and shipping practices are shady, and other people have confirmed having the same issues.

Sixteen92 Empty New to indies, loving Sixteen92

I just dove into indie perfume oils last month. I've tried about 10 companies, I bought a bunch of partially used sample bottles from a destash. Sixteen92 scents by far work the best for my skin. My favorite two scents are, I Saw Good Proctor With the Devil and Wicked. I'm still trying a bunch of scents, but I see Wicked becoming my signature scent. I also really love Salem, Lolita and Toasted Marshmallow. My only wish is that they lasted longer on my skin. The throw is great, but I feel like I need to reapply them often. Maybe I go nose blind? Once I work through all of these samples, I intend to buy full bottles of Wicked and Goody Proctor Laughing

I've made 5 orders from sixteen92 now (and got many many orders from imam haha - currently have purchased 24 individual scents). Claire's customer service is amazing. The turnaround time has been under what is stated on the website. If you message her on facebook, she usually responds in minutes and can even tell her where you are in the queue. Even via email, she tends to respond really really fast. For my first order, the 15 mL lolita edp was out of stock, but the international version wasn't so I emailed and asked her if I can order the international one and ship it within US and she emailed me back in under 30 min saying that she had some extra lolita edps and she put them up on the site just for me. Sure enough, I checked and the 15 mL was in stock. I got that and 1 oz lolita hair oil. My second order was just gothic lolita and I asked if she could combine my first and second order and refund me for one of the shipping prices and she got back to me really quickly and did just that. The lolita edp had leaked a tiny bit when it arrived so I emailed Claire about it and she responded in like under 5 minutes and offered to replace it or give me extra samples. I chose to have extra samples added to one of my future orders. I still have 3 pending orders with her (10 mL mellifera and 5.5 mL shadow show, 2 oz salted caramel latte hair oil and 5.5 mL last exit for the lost, sample set) and I can't wait to make a custom with her next year (just scheduled it!) and for the holiday scents. Her scents also work really well with my skin chemistry and are pretty true to the description on me. Her jasmine and honey notes are some of my favorite notes ever. Would highly recommend.

I've made two orders from her site, one from her Resurrection event and one a few weeks later from her winter/bath & body collections. She combined my orders & refunded my excess shipping without me having to ask & sent everything out when my Resurrection order was ready. Everything was packaged beautifully, smells great, and is generally awesome. I've bought a lot of her products from IMAM destashes as well and while a lot of scents don't work for me, they're all objectively very nice. I'm excited to order some items from her spring collection soon!
