I was reluctant to try DMP at first because of the higher prices compared to other indie perfume oils. The perfumes are in 9 mL bottles instead of the typical 5 mL, so I had to keep that in mind. However, I finally decided to go the safe route and order samples. For new customers, you get a good deal of an extra sample in addition to a free one you get for making a purchase. So I received five samples for the cost of three. DMP's catalog is extensive and includes holiday perfumes year round, which is a major plus because people experience summer in one hemisphere and winter in another at the same time. If there isn't a listing for a sample that you want, you can leave a note to the seller and request it.

The owner, Cat, has excellent customer service skills. She messaged me to tell me about her TAT (five business days) and how the tracking system works. I received my samples within the promised time. I ordered samples in Blood & Donuts, Dark Desires, and King Cake; my two free samples were Nivens and Carnivale Rouge. I had a very difficult time finding a favorite because I enjoyed all of them. Enclosed in my invoice was a 10% off code for a repeat order by the end of the month. I ended up throwing caution to the wind and ordered a different fragrance, Bonny Blue. The second time, the owner sent a message again, describing the scent to me and her take on it. It felt personal, and I felt valued as a customer.

I'm not very good at describing perfumes at all; but I have to say that DMP's scents are of excellent quality and last for hours on my skin. I've tried quite a few gourmands, and I haven't smelled anything quite like her offerings. I look forward to trying more in the future.
