I fully intend to order full sizes of at least a couple of the scents, which is so unusual given how picky I am about perfume. I'll update this comment with a very excited review once I write it!

Solstice Scents Empty Re: Solstice Scents

I've done maybe 10 orders with this company and never had a single problem. Their customer service is fantastic - when I've emailed to ask questions I've always had a fast response, and Angela is very interactive on the company Facebook page. Their scents are beautiful - easy to use, convenient roll on bottles and the lasting power is amazing. They are almost all highly potent in my experience, so those who like a very delicate, low key close scent might not be so enamoured. Burnishing Glace Oils are even more potent than the perfume oils.

I have the Ghost body butter, which is technically unscented but does have a light 'cocoa butter' smell to it. It doesn't interfere with any other fragrances though. I have tried a few of the whipped soaps and the scents are strong and linger quite a while after use. They lather up with a net sponge really well. I also use them a lot for shaving as they add a moisturising element and leave my legs really smooth after.

You get a free perfume oil sample with every order and the best thing is that you can choose your own rather than just receiving a random one. Shipping is very reasonable for international and any overage is refunded. Takes about 2 weeks to get to me in Australia, never more than 3, and it's always boxed up well with lots of padding to keep the glass bottles safe. I don't have a bad word to say about these guys - they are very professional and their products are awesome.

Solstice Scents Empty Re: Solstice Scents

I am in love with Solstice Scents. Everything about them is awesome: their TAT is insane (literally 12 hours from ordering to shipping once, never less than 1 business day), their packaging is gorgeous, I love their overall aesthetic and the tiny little town they've created to base scents around. Plus they have a rewards program, which is awesome!

Of course at the end of the day no matter how fancy the bottles are the scents need to be good: and I LOVE their perfume. I haven't met one that doesn't work on me, and I buy them blind now instead of testing because I just know I'm going to love them. Some smaller companies seem to specialize in one "branch" of smells, but Solstice has done everything I've tried right: floral, super earthy, forest blends, candy-like smells, heavy gourmands, spiced notes. Magic, I tell you. Plus the prices are so good!

Solstice has adorable packaging, even the samples feel like a special package because of their branding materials.

I enjoy being able to choose my own free sample, though I was a little frustrated that some of the collections were only available as a group of samples.

I really liked all of the scents I tried.

I adore this company! I've only made one order so far, but plan to make many more! The body ganache is rich and creamy and smells absolutely wonderful! All of the samples I ordered worked so well with my skin chemistry - the one miss wasn't because of the perfume, but because of my nose! All of the scents were spot on with their descriptions on the website; the packaging and branding pulls all of the scents and products into one cohesive story that's fun and engaging!

I've ordered from Solstice Scents once so far, and I would order from them again. My order came in a bubble mailer filled with colorful shredded paper, as well as a bookmark and a couple of postcards and business cards. Unfortunately, some of the scents that I tried really didn't work for me (Pink Sugar and Violet Truffle), but I did fall in love with a couple (Cameo is a really unique blend of rose and ginger on me, and Snowshoe Pass is just beautiful, creamy mint, white amber, and white musk).

I was completely wowed by their tat, their website has spoiled me for ease of use, and I love the full-size roller ball perfume bottles. The burnishing glaces are also really nice. The botanical toner for oily and troubled skin is now an HG product for me. A lot of my favorite scents are from here even if I can't say there are more hits than misses for me. I will certainly continue to be a customer and I would recommend them.

I have had very good experiences with Solstice Scents. I have made four orders so far, and I have been pleased with the packaging, turnaround times, and responses from the owner. TAT is usually under a week from processing my order to delivery in my mailbox. The perks are great: yourchoice of two free samples on your first order, a free sample choice with every order after, and a $20 gift certificate for ever $200 spent.

The owner is very quick to respond on facebook and emails. She runs her business well, in my opinion.

Solstice Scents Empty Re: Solstice Scents

I feel like I've been spoiled by Solstice Scents!

They were the very first indie perfumery/indie brand that I've tried, and they've set such a high bar.  Out of the seven samples I got (the extra sample was because I was a new customer!), I loved six of them.  And out of those six, four of them I'm going crazy over and the other two are still good.  And out of those four I'm insane about, there are two that I just want to buy 5 gallons of and bathe in it.

Because I had such a good experience with their scents, I tried other scents from other popular perfumeries but they honestly didn't work as well on me as SS did.  I really can't get enough!  I just really really wish that they would release their other bath products - I desperately want to try their whipped body ganaches and soaps!

Solstice Scents Empty Awesome

Post by PrincessSnugglemuffn Fri Apr 10, 2015 3:04 pm

I love this company. I have a billion samples, and they are all really nice and super unique. Rose Mallow Cream is so adorable and girly, I just love it. Kitchen is the best spicy, sweet, yummy winter fragrance I know of. It smells like my grandma's kitchen at the holidays. The fragrance also lasts really well on my skin. I have the perfume oil and I have the body spray. Both are great. The best thing about Solstice is that they ship super fast. I've ordered six times and had the items ship in two or three days and get to me within a week every time. One time they were out of an item I ordered and the website glitched, allowing me to place the order. I got an email that same day apologizing and offering solutions, and I still received my order within a week. Awesome.

I ordered a body ganache when they did a restock & I'm so happy with the whole experience! They shipped super quickly, the texture & scent of the body butter is amazing, and I love that they let me choose my free sample. I haven't bought any perfumes from them directly, but I've tried a lot of them through destashes and I generally love them. Some haven't worked for me, but all of them had good throw and excellent lasting power. I LOVE this company!
