Kae Q Cosmetics

I ordered 2 of their lipsticks, one in B.S and the other in Mamey. Both had very high payoff, and felt amazing on the lips! Creamy but not melty. It smelled faintly of wax but was in no way overpowering or unpleasant. I really like that she pressed her oils herself. They were a little pricy at 10$ a pop but I've never had a black lipstick that applies this nice.  I haven't had a reason to contact the owner Nicole, but she is very polite on IMAM so I feel it would be a pleasant experience if I had to contact her!

Owner is an immature shit who will imply you're just an idiot if you come to her with complaints - had an issue with balm application and some of the colors being totally different to the site photos and stickers on tubes which are supposed to hint at the color. Wrong. Do not go by her photography. As for the application, I found it completely impossible to pick up any color by finger swatching the samples while the doefoot gave a slippery, waxy lipstick feeling. I PM'd the owner about this and apparently I'm just an idiot who can't read descriptions properly and should realize her balms are ~different~. I even tried to leave an honest Etsy review but my account was shut down for harassment.

Long story short, don't get sucked in by Nicole's apparent niceness on Reddit and avoid the shop.

I've placed several orders with Kae Q now, and Nicole has been nothing but helpful and nice. She responded to each one of my messages promptly, was willing to combine orders and refund shipping for me and fixed the problem I had when it arose (one product got left out of my order, which she sent a replacement for along with a sample of a face mask). I've tried besitos of all of her original 15 colors and I like almost all of them. Her besitos are very cute with the colored stickers on top and large enough to get many uses out of. I've since ordered three in full sizes (Sapodilla, my favorite nude, Snapdragon, which looks good on pretty much everyone, and Mamey, which is a lovely wearable orange-coral type of color). A couple of the darker colors have a hint of streakiness (most noticeable in Passionfruit, the dark purple and Seaweed, the dark green), but the rest apply opaquely with the doefoot applicators she includes. The feel very moisturizing on the lips, but because of their slicker texture don't last as long as a drier lip product would. I feel very confident in her professionalism and will definitely order from her again.
