Re: Apothescary Scents
I tried the fall inspired Something Wicked Collection, inspired by Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes".
I tried 5 botanical perfumes from this collection: the scents Shadow Show, Autumn People, Dust Witch, Mr. Dark, and Carousel of Dreams. Here’s the overview from my review. I can't wear these, at least when applied by tipping the oil onto my arm from the bottle. It's way too strong, and although they don't give me a headache at any point, it's definitely on the verge. By the end of the day, the scent cloud around me is intense. Either the base notes are too highly concentrated for my nose, or the ratio of fragrant oils to carrier oil is too high for my taste. It was even hard for me to go to sleep when I tried these the first day – I had to hold my arms away from me so I could peacefully drift off. The next day, I decided to wash it off before bed, and that was much more tolerable. If I were to wear these again, I would dab a cotton swab or clean metal spatula in the oil to apply a small amount, and probably only in one place on my body. They may also benefit from resting, so I wanna try them more once they have mellowed out a little.
